Make up
Your mind…
mastering makeup to increase your bottom line
Welcome.
This is a workshop about makeup. Its’ both a practical guide to the basic tenets
and techniques of makeup application and celebration of what it means to be
a makeup artist – the joy and satisfaction of helping people to look their absolute
best.
This is a hands on experience about learning and defining simple beauty. I have
always sought to empower women and men to find and define their own
beauty. Part of this mission naturally involves educating and mentoring others on
the art of makeup application. Throughout the twenty years or so that I’ve been
practicing as a makeup artist, I have worked with – and learned from – some of
the true masters in the industry. And yet I am still a student of my craft. The
desire for new techniques and ideas keeps me fresh and excited about this
dynamic profession and industry. I hope you, too, want to soak up as much
information and experience as you can. This workshop will help to expand your
knowledge, boost your confidence – and teach you a few new, fun tricks along
the way.
This workshop is for all of us. Thanks to such publications as Les Nouvelles
Esthetiques, and luminaries like Dr. Pugliese, Mark Lees, and Marvin Westmore,
our industry is gaining more respect. With that come higher demands, greater
competition, and savvier clients. By seeking the finest educational experiences,
you are demonstrating that you are ready to meet any challenges ahead and
are empowered to elevate our industry to the next level.
Delight in the learning experience… and apply yourself!
Wishing you every success!

For the season, fun and flirty color is the height of fashion. Pale pastels, playful plums and sultry shades of gold and bronze are the must haves of makeup. We have created a collection of interchangeable shades. All five eyeshadows can be used in any combination you desire. All of the collection pieces impart a very subtle luminescent quality wherever applied. This is not like grandma’s glitter, it mimics the youthful skin of your twenties leaving a fresh and dewy finish.
My favorite new shade is Capri illuminating finishing powder. We created it as a highlighter for the cheeks but that is the tip of the iceberg for its multiple uses. It is delightful dusted over the twins when you’re wearing a more revealing neckline. Add a small nickel size to your hand and mix with your favorite body lotion, apply over the legs and have an instant J-lo Glow!
As you may have heard the new black is nude. Beige, khaki and taupe are must have clothing staples that will carry you through fall. Espionage is the perfect “Bridget Bardot” beige lipgloss that can be used alone or on top of any shade you own. Don’t leave home without it! Knowledge is a beautiful thing. It can help us make more informed decisions. How can cosmetics that are marketed to be “good for you” actually be causing millions of users to itch and break out? Can we all say together… Pink bismuth. On it’s own, the raw ingredient, bismuth oxychloride, feels soft and slippery to the touch. It is however not a mineral. Widely used in “mineral-based” cosmetics this is the culprit for many irritations and sensitivities. Some of the most popular mineral makeup brands include large amounts of the potentially irritating ingredient. Reading labels and understanding the ingredients in your products can help you indentify the culprits behind your skin issues.
